  • Built to the 420 kV / 63 kA class of the 8DQ1 single-phase encapsulated GIS: withstand levels up to 650 kV power-frequency (1 min), 1425 kV lightning impulse and 1050 kV switching impulse; peak withstand up to 170 kA and short-time withstand up to 63 kA for 3 s.
  • Self-compression SF6 interrupter unit with stored-energy spring operating mechanism; rated operating sequence O-0.3 s-CO-3 min-CO | CO-15 s-CO.
  • Compact bay design: 2200 mm bay width, 3800 x 5800 mm bay height x depth and approx. 11 t bay weight; typical cable-feeder footprint 2.2 x 5.8 m at 3.8 m height, bus coupler 4000 x 4500 mm, one-and-a-half-breaker diameter 21500 x 5100 mm.
  • Indoor and outdoor installation at -30 °C to +55 °C ambient; type-tested gas leakage rate below 0.1 % per year and gas compartment; first major inspection after more than 25 years, expected lifetime over 50 years.
  • Fulfills the latest IEC standards (IEC 62271-1, -100, -102, -110, -203, -207) and is offered to IEC / IEEE / GOST rating structures; modular structure with passive busbar, disconnector / earthing-switch modules, conventional and RC-divider instrument transformers, cable, outdoor-bushing and transformer termination modules.
