GEAFOL cast-resin transformers are environmentally friendly dry-type transformers for use everywhere, however particularly where special fire security, water protection or constructive regulations are required. Their function is to convert voltage levels in distribution networks, as generator transformer or for the operation of static converters, with portfolio ratings of ≤ 50 MVA and ≤ 52 kV.
Main advantages named for the portfolio: practically maintenance-free; high overload capacity ensures high reliability; excellent fire behavior — flame resistant and self-extinguishing; environmental friendly technology, completely recyclable; practically no restrictions concerning place of installation; and available for practically all standards and regulations.
The portfolio comprises three product lines, summarized in the table below. On request, dry-type transformers with copper windings are also offered, named CARECO.

The presentation groups the dry-type transformers' features and customer benefits into six categories, reproduced in the table below. Notable individual claims: the windings are free from partial discharges up to twice the rated voltage, ratings can be increased up to 50% by mounting fans, and installation at load centers permits optimum system design where high efficiency equals cost optimization.

The presentation closes with a project reference: GEAFOL cast-resin transformers supplied for a photovoltaic plant in Brazil (FY20). Highlights: low losses transformers for a booming market, and a customized design for 30 plants in more than 17 cities in Brazil.
